ABOUT THE CHAMBER

The Chamber was formed as a nonprofit organization in 1962 with the specific purpose of creating a positive business climate by establishing and maintaining an association of businesses, organizations and people.

• We actively sponsor and encourage the production and distribution of goods and services and the creation of jobs for our members.
• We promote the local economy by encouraging Chamber members and residents to shop locally.
• We organize, sponsor and promote six major public events each year, which generate a majority of the local tourism.
• Funding is generated through membership dues, donations and fundraisers, making us free to lobby for the best interests of local businesses.
