HIKING TRAILS

Camp Creek National Recreation Trail:

3.6 miles; difficult. This trail begins approximately one mile east of Snow Valley Ski Resort and terminates at Bear Creek.  It is a very steep trail with an elevation change of 2,000 feet 

Castle Rock Trail:

.8 mile; moderate to difficult. Access from Highway 18, about one mile east of the Big Bear lake Dam. Rich in scenery.

Fisherman’s Camp Trail 2W07:

2.5 miles; moderately difficult. It begins 1.3 miles west of Crab Flats campground on FS Road 3N34 and ends at Deep Creek.

Glory Ridge Trail:

1 mile; very difficult. This old fisherman’s trail begins at the end of Forest Service Road 2N15 and goes to Bear Creek. Very steep.

Heaps Peak Arboretum Trail 3W05:

Seven-tenths of a mile; easy walk. It begins 2 miles east of Sky Forest on Hwy. 18.

Hot Springs Trail 3W02:

1.5 Miles; difficult. It begins one mile south of Bowen Ranch near Hesperia.

Indian Rock Trail 3W15:

One-half mile; easy walk. It begins at the Rock Camp Fire Station on Hwy. 173.

Little Green Valley Trail 2W10:

1.5 miles; difficult. It begins on Hwy. 18, across from Snow Valley

National Children’s Forest Interpretive Trail:

Three-quarter mile; easy, paved, handicap access/strollers OK, altitude 7,400. Beautiful mountain views, picnic area, great family hike for the little ones. Trail and trail signs designed by kids! Off Keller Peak Rd., 4 miles from Hwy 18. Closed in winter.

North Shore Recreation Trail 3W12:

1.7 miles; moderately difficult. It begins at North Shore campground on Hospital Road in Lake Arrowhead.

Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail PC2000:

39 miles; easy walk. May be accessed from various points in the district.

Pinnacles Trail 3W16:

3.5 miles; difficult. It begins at the entrance to the Rifle Range on Hwy. 173, north of Rock Camp. Very steep.

Seeley Creek/Heart Rock Trail 4W07:

One mile; easy walk. It begins 1/4-mile south of the Camp Seeley entrance (Hwy. 138) on FS Road 2N03.

Trail Of The Phoenix 2W09:

One-half mile; easy walk. It begins at the entrance of the Children’s Forest on Keller Peak Road.

Tunnel II Trail 3W19:

One mile; easy trail. It begins at FS Road 2N34. Take Grass Valley Road to Clubhouse. Follow Clubhouse to Fairway. Continue on Fairway turning right on Brentwood. Turn left on Sonoma to 2N34. Go left on 2N34, follow to trailhead.
